Meet Jayne |
 |
Jayne Justice is a Certified Holistic Health Counselor and Fitness Instructor. Jayne has been involved in dance, fitness and sports her whole life. As a young girl who loved being active, she thrived at being a competitive swimmer, springboard diver, and tennis player. Jayne received her BS in Nutrition from William Woods University and completed her Dietetic Internship at the University of Iowa City Hospitals and Clinics. She then worked as a clinical Dietitian in a hospital for a number of years. Though, nutrition counseling was critical in the hospital setting, she found her greater passion to be in preventive health and fitness. Becoming certified to teach aerobics and combining those 2 passions, she was led to work on the NCL Cruise Line as a Dietician / Exercise instructor onboard to passengers. From there she taught fitness classes in Cancun, Mexico, Florida, Philadelphia, and California. Thus, she has earned her nickname "Camp Counselor" from her friends and family. Being involved also in the competition, pageant, and modeling worlds brought its own struggles with eating, staying thin, and comfortable with her body. Running had become a passion having completed 3 marathons, 2 half marathons and many short races. Running for Jayne was a way of controlling her weight and a healthy obsession! Jayne understands the athlete as well as the occasional exercise enthusiast. Finding exercise-fitness to be an integral piece of the health puzzle, combined with her nutrition background gives Jayne the expertise to fine tune her own healthy lifestyle, while guiding others along that journey.
Jayne's love of the ocean brought her to California in 1987. It also spurred her interest in herbs and nutritional supplements and learning ways to naturally heal the body. She studied Chinese Herbs under Ron Teeguarden. To further enhance her studies and understand all the current diet modalities, she attended The Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC. Traveling from LA to NY every month to complete her studies was not only challenging but also very rewarding. She studied with Deepak Chopra, Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Mark Hyman, David Wolfe, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, and Dr. Barry Sears, just to name a few. Thus earning her the title of CHHC, Certified Holistic Health Counselor and is a member of National Association of Nutrition Professionals, and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, AADP. |

Along with her dedication to health and fitness, Jayne is a mother and a resides in Southern California. In her leisure time she enjoys cooking, teaching piano, watching movies and spending time with her daughter. You can also find Jayne most Tuesdays at the Farmer's Market in Manhattan Beach as the resident nutritionist promoting the local, organic and fresh fare. Growing up on a farm with fresh, seasonal produce and raising livestock established an appreciation for eating whole foods and the importance of farm raised animals.

Having studied a more conventional style of diets and counting calories, I find that a more individualized approach is so much more effective with my clients. Not only does it allow them do eat the food they love, they also will over time develop the eating pattern that can be sustained for a lifetime, while making the changes our bodies need as we age. I love helping my clients achieve their goals and watch the transformation unfold."

"The last time I did a cleanse was a year and a half ago, the Master Cleanse for 10 days. I did lose weight initially and gained it all back and more. I found the raw food in Jayne's program much easier to do and also to prepare me for how I was going to eat after the cleanse. This program guided by Jayne and her manual , gently and powerfully supported me through the whole process. I was prepared in advance and relaxed and excited ,ready to detox when I began. As each day went by, I felt lighter and I lost the weight in my stomach, had less bloating, and was able to get up early and have immense energy throughout the dayÊand into the night. This has felt so empowering to be in control and I really love how my body feels. I also lost the added weight and was listening to what my body wants and needs. I have had a major shift in my attitude towards food and especially most kinds of breads, which previously used to lure me in. The choices to eat differently has also improved my digestion.
